The name “Maraya” means “mirrors” and was inspired by Forough Farrokhzad's line “Ask the mirror the name of your saviour”; it reflects the brand's belief in women's self-confidence and their power to shape their own lives.
Attention to fabric quality, comfort, fine tailoring and handcrafted detail is part of how Maraya designs. The brand serves women in Iran, the Persian Gulf countries and Iraq, designing for their different tastes and moments in life.
Eng. Zakieh Hosseini
Eng. Zakieh Hosseini graduated in computer engineering in 2010 and began her professional career in international trade in 2018. Until 2020 she traded products from China to the US and Canadian markets through Amazon, gaining valuable experience in e-commerce and global markets.
In 2020, drawing on this experience, she founded and began developing Maraya, a women's clothing brand that blends heritage, elegance and modern design, with a focus on quality, cultural identity and a presence in international markets.
